Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant in this friendly and fun office and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients of all ages. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in general dentistry with an emphases in cosmetics, while making a positive impact on patients' smiles every day. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are met. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontic treatments. Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately. Support administrative tasks like scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and updating medical documentation in Epic or similar platforms. Conduct patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic by following infection control guidelines and sterilizing instruments using proper aseptic techniques. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with EMR systems is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred. Strong understanding of infection control practices, sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. Certification in dental assisting, additional certifications advantageous.
