Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the Dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We need someone reliable and dependable to be here on time. Duties Assist the Dentist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Record vital signs and patient information accurately in the electronic health record system. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-treatment care. Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments using dental clinic management software, such as Softdent Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area and waiting room. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in orthodontic procedures being a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and relevant systems is essential for success in this role. Experience with X-ray technology and understanding of vital signs monitoring is highly desirable. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations is required.
