Modern office settingDental Assistant Clinical Duties:
Patient Preparation:
Ensuring patients are comfortable in the dental chair, taking vital signs, and explaining procedures.Chairside Assistance:
Assisting dentists and hygienists during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.Sterilization:
Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment.Dental X-rays:
Taking and processing dental X-rays under the direction of a dentist.Impressions:
Taking impressions of teeth for study models or other purposes.Patient Education:
Instructing patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.Oral Hygiene:
May perform routine dental cleanings and assist with complex procedures.Dental Receptionist Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's phone system
- Verify patient insurance information and update patient records
- Collect and process payments from patients
- Assist with managing patient flow and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns they may have
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and dental professionals
- Proficiency in using phone systems and scheduling software
- Attention to detail to accurately update patient records and insurance information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$16.60- $19.
