Job Description

Our team focuses on delivering high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and patient care. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting, supporting dentists in delivering exceptional dental treatments. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring proper sterilization and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking vital signs and assisting with medical imaging procedures. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, including 3D scanners and other advanced tools. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating with the dental reception team to ensure smooth clinic operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and taking vital signs. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, and team members. Certification in radiography or equivalent is preferred; additional training in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is advantageous.
