Dental Assistant - PT or FT

Pay Rate $23 per hour! PT 1 day per week at Edinburgh Correctional Facility or FT 1 day per week at Edinburgh Correctional Facility + 3 days per week at Indiana Women's Prison Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a part-time or full-time Dental Assistant for an opportunity at Edinburgh Correctional Facility located in Edinburgh, Indiana and Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Dental Assistant (Indiana) works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Essential Duties:

Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory Operating radiographic equipment Administrative tasks as needed High school diploma or GED equivalent required Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required Certification in Dental Radiology required Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Shift:

part-time or full-time 8-hour day shift Part-time 1 day per week at Edinburgh Correctional Facility or Full-time 4 days per week (1 day at Edinburgh Correctional Facility + 3 days at Indiana Women's Prison) Centurion is the provider of healthcare services for the Indiana DOC.
