The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging as required, including 3D scans when applicable. Record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assisting during procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Educate patients on dental terminology, treatment plans, and post-procedure care instructions. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing medical coding for billing purposes. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient experience in both pediatric and general dentistry settings. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting in various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatments and procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
