The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
Hours:
Mondays 7:40 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Fridays 8:40 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with aseptic techniques. Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage dental clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Educate patients on post-treatment care. Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment. Skills Proficiency in electronic records. Experience with Opendental is helpful. Track inventory and order supplies as needed. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry. Familiarity with dental coding, documentation, and records management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical settings. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
