We are currently seeking a Hygiene Assistant for our office in McCordsville, IN.
This assistant will:
Review the day's treatment being done and medical history including updating any medical issues, allergies, and medications, record all changes, take and record blood pressure, obtain patients signatures and notify Hygienist or Dentist of any significant changes in health, and take X-rays; if needed. Place Fluoride and coronal polish Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and assist the dentist using 4-hand dentistry. Ensure Room is
COMPLETELY
set up for hygienist; set up and break down units; clean lights on a regular basis and ensure room is in excellent condition for patient. Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic; as requested by dentist, pouring and trimming study models. Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances. Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Must be X-ray certified.
Preferred:
Bilingual preferred. CPR and First-Aid certification preferred.
