Job Description

We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team! Your primary responsibilities will involve working alongside the dentist, dental hygienists, and other dental assistants to help provide patient care. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures run smoothly. Previous experience is helpful, but not necessary. Responsibilities Welcome patients to the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort Set up dental operatories with the proper instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to regulation Assist the dentist with patient care Manage lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients Keep dental operatories clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records Skills Prior experience as a dental assistant is helpful but not necessary. The ability and willingness to learn is much more important. Training will be provided for all dental office protocols and regulations, as needed. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Proficiency in Spanish is preferred Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
