Duties

• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
• Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding
• Taking Impressions
• Practice aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Experience
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required (Willing to train the right person
• Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus
• Knowledge of medical documentation
• Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is desirable
