What You Will Do:
As a key member of our clinical staff, you will ensure our daily operations run smoothly while providing exceptional, comfortable care to our patients.
Your essential functions will include:
Direct Patient Care:
Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment. Gather medical histories, take vitals (blood pressure and pulse), and assist the dentist during a variety of general and specialized procedures (including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery).
Diagnostics & Prep:
Take and develop precise dental radiographs (x-rays) and take impressions for study casts.
Patient Education:
Provide clear post-operative instructions and educate patients on optimal oral hygiene strategies and nutritional counseling.
Infection Control:
Champion patient safety by overseeing infection control protocols, preparing treatment rooms, and strictly sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Practice Flow & Administration:
Manage patient flow to maximize the doctor's schedule. Assist with front-office tasks via PC, including scheduling appointments, communicating with patients and suppliers, billing, and ordering supplies.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 1 year of Dental Assisting experience is highly preferred, but not required. New grads welcome!! You should have a strong proficiency in dental terminology and clinical procedures. Experience with Open Dental software is a major plus!
Education & Certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Active X-Ray Certification (Required) CPR Certification (Preferred) Nitrous Monitoring Certification (Preferred)
