Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking exceptional oral healthcare. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and traditional radiography tools Manage patient records efficiently within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care in general dentistry and pediatrics Support infection control protocols by adhering to OSHA standards and maintaining a clean, organized work environment Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for scheduling, documentation, and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with dental assisting Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a clinical setting Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate patient flow smoothly Knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization processes to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about delivering quality dental care. Pay:
$14.50 - $17.00 per hour
