Job Description

Pediatric Dental Specialists of Lafayette Pediatric Dental Specialists of Lafayette is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our growing pediatric dental team. Our mission is to provide high-quality pediatric dental care that is affordable and accessible to all families in our community. We are looking for a team member who shares our commitment to providing exceptional care to children in a positive, safe, and professional environment. Compensation $18-22 per hour Compensation based on experience, clinical ability, and pediatric dental competency Position Requirements Applicants must: Be EDDA-credentialed Have prior dental assisting experience Be capable of independently running a full clinical column Demonstrate strong chairside assisting skills in a fast-paced pediatric dental office Be comfortable working with children of all ages, including anxious and special healthcare needs patients Have excellent communication and teamwork skills Be dependable, organized, and professional Responsibilities Chairside assisting for pediatric restorative and preventive procedures Coronal polishing, sealants, radiographs, and other expanded duty functions permitted under Louisiana regulations Preparing and turning over treatment rooms efficiently Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Supporting patient flow and helping create a positive patient experience Assisting in behavior guidance and maintaining a calm, child-friendly environment Upholding all infection control and patient safety standards Our Core Values At Pediatric Dental Specialists of Lafayette, we are committed to: Patient Safety Commitment to Excellence Integrity Compassion Selfless Service We are building a team culture focused on professionalism, growth, accountability, and serving children and families with excellence.
