Seeking Expanded Duty Dental Assistant for Fun and Thriving Pediatric Dental Office! 2800 Gause Boulevard East, Slidell, LA 70461 $15.50 - $24.00 an hour - Full-time $15.50 - $24.00 an hour - Full-time Welcome to Live Oak Pediatric Dentistry! We are searching for a Dental Assistant to join our rapidly growing pediatric dental office located in Slidell, LA ! Experience, including EDDA certification, is preferred but not necessary. We are most interested in finding individuals that are growth minded, fun, and a great fit with our amazing team. We are huge on positive office culture and making work our happy place :) This is a great opportunity to be a part of a new, modern and FUN practice with state-of-the-art technology and an amazing work environment. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with parents, provide encouragement to our pediatric patients, and be a great team player! This position is 3-4 days a week. Office hours are typically Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15-5:00pm and Thursdays from 7:45-3:00pm. Occasional Tuesdays! This available position is for a for motivated individual looking for a long-term career working at a growing office with a fun, rewarding and collaborative atmosphere with significant opportunities for growth!
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Excellent customer service
- Assist the dentist with dental procedures and behavior management
- Dental cleanings/prophys, impressions, and radiographs
- Sterilization lab duties
- Assist with treatment under sedation or general anesthesia
- Assist with treatment of patients with special health care needs
- Maintain patient records and treatment plans
- Provide dental education to patients and their family members
Certifications Necessary:
- Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (preferred but not necessary)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred, not required)
