In this energetic position, you will support dentists with chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinic operations, and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help us maintain the highest standards of dental health services. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, managing medical records, and assisting with medical coding when necessary. Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to foster informed decision-making. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and infection control practices. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix experience is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to assist with medical imaging procedures confidently. Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Spanish speaking is a plus Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly within the team.
