Join our team and contribute to delivering vital health services to our diverse communities! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant who can speak Mandarin and Cantonese to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will support dentists in providing exceptional patient care by assisting during dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a positive experience for every patient while maintaining high standards of infection control and clinical excellence. A. Operatory and Chairside Assist dentist or other dental staff in patient's management including 4-handed dental procedure Set-up, clean, stock-up and maintain instruments, equipment, chair and supplies in the operatories assigned Maintain a clean, hygienic and orderly environment in the dental clinic Participates in universal precaution and infection control Perform duties as requested by the dentists, e.g. assist in dental impressions, taking radiographs, comforting patients, giving oral health and preventive instruction B. Patient record and related paper-works Obtain, update and up-keep of patients' record including radiographs Substitute as the receptionist when conditions required (e.g. after 5pm, receptionist on-leave) including making appointments, answering telephones. C. Laboratory, supplies and miscellaneous Assist dentist in preparing patient's cases e.g. pouring models, preparing cases for the dental labs etc. Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory Maintain the equipment e.g. all-pro, autoclave, grinders and etc. Maintain and update the inventory; order supplies as needed D. Participate in staff meetings, assigned meetings and in-service meetings when appropriate
Education:
Completion of dental assistant program or High School Diploma with one year dental office on the job training. Completion of Radiology Certification Course.
Experience:
One or more years working full time
Languages:
Bilingual in Cantonese/Mandarin and English preferred
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour
