Dental Assistant who can establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with patients, take and maintain detailed patient records, and operate extraction equipment.
Job Summary:
The dental assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care and clerical support. The ideal candidate will be able to achieve excellence in customer service and work towards organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Must have current and valid dental assistant license. Must have current CPR card from American Red Cross. Current First Aid and CPR certification. Ability to communicate effectively with the public, co-workers, and management. Ability to perform all duties of a general office assistant. Ability to perform basic computer functions including word processing, email, spreadsheets, internet searches, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Job Duties:
Fulfills oral hygiene objectives including but not limited to teeth brushing, teeth whitening, and in-office examinations. Applies oral hygiene equipment and materials to patients as directed by the dental office manager. Assists the dentist during surgical procedures. In-office receptionist duties including answering phones, greeting patients, taking patient calls, answering questions about services, and performing other general office tasks as assigned by the manager. Performs pre-operative and post-operative dental procedures. Conducts restorative procedures. Educates patients on the benefits of oral health services and answers any questions that may arise.
