The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of the practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering a positive experience for patients of all ages. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed. Candidates with experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and proficiency with dental software systems will thrive in this position. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and prosthodontics, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining a clean environment in accordance with aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and safety. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding as needed for insurance claims. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient assessments. Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and explain procedures clearly using appropriate anatomy knowledge. Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization protocols and infection prevention guidelines. Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when required, facilitating appointment scheduling and patient communication. Stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry to enhance clinical support.

Up to $27.00 per hour
