In addition to pediatric dentistry, the office offers in-house Nitrous Oxide (N2O), General Anesthesia, and access to Orthodontic services. All team members work together to support each specialty, with the primary focus remaining on pediatric care. Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic clinical team. You'll work directly with pediatric patients and their families, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive dental experience. This role involves assisting during procedures, educating patients and parents, and maintaining high clinical standards. Responsibilities Assist the dentist with pediatric procedures including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments. Support oral surgery, ortho, and general anesthesia days as needed—team collaboration is key. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure operatory readiness. Take and process dental X-rays following all safety guidelines. Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-op care. Document clinical notes and patient history accurately in Denticon (or similar software). Ensure all compliance protocols, including HIPAA, are followed. Help manage patient flow, appointments, and follow-up communication. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Qualifications & Skills Dental Assisting experience, preferably with pediatric patients. X-ray certification required. Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental software preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children. Team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail. Flexibility to support multi-specialty care when needed.
