The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively as a dental receptionist when needed. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with child-specific procedures. Utilize medical and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices. Proficiency in Eaglesoft software is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, dental terminology, and pediatric dentistry concepts is an asset. Ability to perform X-ray imaging in compliance with safety standards. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred. The current days are Tuesday/Thursday with a possibility of full time for the right candidate.
