PM Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. We are looking for an experienced Lead Dental Assistant, or someone with the drive and potential to grow into a leadership role within our clinical team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our doctors, maintaining clinical efficiency, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, clinically skilled, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Chairside assisting during dental and surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and operating areas for upcoming procedures. Pass sterilized instruments and maintain smooth clinical flow. Take dental radiographs including X-rays, Panorex, and Cone Beam CT scans. Review patient health histories and assist with patient education. Wash, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment. Test, monitor, and clean autoclaves. Track and manage implants and clinical materials. Stock and clean operatories throughout the day. Ensure OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols are consistently followed. Maintain emergency equipment, oxygen, CPR readiness, and related supplies.
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities:
Help maintain schedule balance and optimize patient flow. Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs. Order, organize, and maintain dental supplies and inventory. Monitor inventory usage and assist with budget-conscious ordering. Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation. Support communication between doctors, front office staff, and patients. Assist in creating a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
Dental assisting experience required; surgical experience preferred. Lead Dental Assistant experience is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
