In this role, you will be the friendly face that helps our young patients feel safe, comfortable, and excited about their dental health. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare children and adolescents for dental examinations and treatments, ensuring a comforting "Tell-Show-Do" approach. Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of clinical procedures (four-handed dentistry). Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) on pediatric patients. Perform dental prophylaxis, topical fluoride applications, and apply pit and fissure sealants (depending on state certifications). Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care. Sterilize instruments, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain strict infection control standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred. Active State Dental Assistant Registration/Certification (RDA/CDA) and X-ray certification. Current CPR/BLS certification. Previous experience in a pediatric dental practice is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right personality! Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to connect with kids and anxious parents.
Pay:
Up to $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
