Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting various dental procedures within general dentistry and specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a wide range of procedures including endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including dental x-ray imaging and 3D scanning procedures, while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Manage dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures in accordance with infection control standards to ensure safety for patients and staff. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate medical documentation, coding, and updating patient records. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and providing excellent customer service in alignment with clinical confidentiality policies. Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for general dentistry procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant within a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards. Familiarity with dental x-ray techniques including intraoral imaging and 3D scanner operation is advantageous. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times. Previous exposure to medical coding, medical records management, and electronic health record systems enhances candidacy.
