Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere dedicated to oral health excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records electronically using Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse; assess patient comfort levels; and document medical history accurately for comprehensive medical documentation. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical and dental records, and assisting with billing or coding using medical coding standards. Maintain a thorough understanding of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with team members and patients. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred. Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and taking X-rays is highly desirable. Knowledge of Open Dental ; proficiency in medical terminology; and understanding of HIPAA compliance are important for success in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.

$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
