This energetic position combines chairside assisting, patient coordination, and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth clinic operations. You'll be the friendly face guiding patients through their dental and sleep journey, utilizing your technical expertise and compassionate approach to make every visit positive and productive. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and sleep dentistry treatments using aseptic techniques and proper infection control protocols Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records management Coordinate sleep dentistry appointments by managing patient schedules, explaining procedures, and ensuring compliance with medical records standards Monitor vital signs and assist with chairside procedures involving pediatric patients and general dentistry cases Maintain accurate medical coding, documentation, and records in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to support billing and compliance requirements Support the dental reception area by greeting patients, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, and managing appointment scheduling Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix or Epic for efficient record keeping and medical documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside support in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to safety standards Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and confidentiality in medical records management Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to provide exceptional patient service Knowledge of medical terminology related to sleep disorders and experience coordinating sleep dentistry treatments This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about enhancing patient experiences through comprehensive dental care and sleep disorder management.
