This dual-role position combines front desk administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to treatment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and proficiency with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. Your energetic approach and commitment to professionalism will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for every step of the way. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and perform insurance verification using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft. Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing dental office management software and coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic. Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments, taking digital radiographs, and ensuring patient comfort. Manage medical records accurately, review documentation for completeness, and update patient files in EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries promptly. Process medical billing and collections, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare claims submission. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while managing filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks with precision. Uphold HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and documentation review. Requirements Proven experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical billing processes including insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and Medicare procedures. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software like eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a positive patient experience. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards while managing medical records and documentation review processes.
