Duties Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining treatment plans clearly. Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols to assist dentists in diagnosis and treatment planning. Assist dentists chairside during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain strict infection control and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and handle billing or insurance processes as part of the front desk team. Support pediatric dentistry cases by applying specialized knowledge of pediatric dental procedures, anatomy, and behavior management strategies. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting including chairside assisting, dental terminology, and understanding of general dentistry procedures such as prosthodontics Certified in X-ray imaging with knowledge of medical imaging safety standards for both adult and pediatric patients. Experience with Eaglesoft Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation practices relevant to dental clinics. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and understand anatomy related to dental health. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinic environment.
