Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the smooth operation of our dental practice. Your role will be vital in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, while maintaining strict adherence to infection control and HIPAA regulations. Duties Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Assist dentists during procedures with chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry techniques and taking vital signs Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are followed Take dental X-rays and utilize 3D scanners or other medical imaging tools to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and coding for insurance claims in compliance with HIPAA standards Manage incoming calls, answer patient inquiries professionally, and coordinate appointment scheduling efficiently Support clinical staff with tasks such as dental terminology explanations, anatomy knowledge, and assisting with procedures across various specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards; experience with medical imaging is preferred Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; capable of managing medical records, medical coding, and handling patient interactions professionally Knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and anatomy fundamentals Certifications in dental assisting or related fields are highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
