We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our friendly practice. In this role, you will assist the orthodontist during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, take photos and scans, and educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care.

Main responsibilities include:

Set up bays accurately, start the patients, and work with the doctor to do scheduled appointments. Working with labs to email them scans and follow up on appliances. Make essix retainers in office. Infection control & sterilization, organization of dental bays, tracking dental inventory. Review of pre and post op instructions with patients. Follow up calls with patients. Mandatory training and courses compliance. Take X-Rays, scans, and photos. Able to share time between MD & DC (very short distance) locations during the week (2-day/3-day at each). Other tasks assigned by the doctor.

Qualifications:

X-Ray Maryland/DC license -or willing to obtain it during the first year of employment. Valid CPR certification. Strong communication and organizational skills. Lingual Orthodontic experience is a plus. Knowledge of OrthoEdge2 is a plus. Competitive salary based on experience, starting at $25/hour
