Dental Assistant (Part-time)

GHG is looking for a Dental Assistant to provide services at the Cheltenham Youth Facility and Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center.

1. Baltimore City Juvenile Justice Center (BCJJC): 300 N. Gay Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. 2. Cheltenham Youth Facility (CYF): Prince George's County at 11001 Frank Tippet Road, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.

Rate:

$22.50/hr Basic Scope of Work (includes but it is not limited to): The male youth to be served shall be aged from 12 to 20 years old who are detained or depending pending placement. CYF daily population can range from 100 to 130 youth. BCJJC daily population can range from 92 to 144 youth.

Background:

The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services provides individualized care and treatment to youth who are alleged or adjudicated offenders and are supervised in the community. DJS utilizes a continuum of services and treatment for juveniles with an expanded community-based focus. The treatment and programs include probation, home detention and monitoring, community service, victim restitution, and counseling. Some youth that may pose a risk to themselves or to public safety are placed in residential programs or detained pending appropriate placements.

Dental clinics are held on from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a thirty (30) minute lunch break. - TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY

OR FRIDAY 2. CYF

Dental clinics are held on from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a thirty (30) minute lunch break. - MONDAY

Position requirements/

Qualifications:

License:

Must be certified by the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners as a dental assistant qualified to place and expose X-rays.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the role, which may include standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
