Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and professional Dental Assistant to join our team. Only candidates with verifiable experience and active X‑ray certification will be considered. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics. Take X-ray images using DEXIS imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage electronic medical records , Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and efficiently. Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing patient flow as needed. Practice four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during chairside assisting sessions. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and recordkeeping. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry. Certification in X-ray technology is required; additional certifications in medical terminology, infection control, and HIPAA compliance are highly valued. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, for managing patient records seamlessly. Hands-on experience with dental imaging equipment. Knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside support, vital signs measurement, and aseptic technique. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with proficiency in dental terminology and medical coding practices. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies like medical imaging software and electronic health records while maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.
