In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, manage dental procedures efficiently, and ensure a comfortable experience for every patient. Your proficiency with dental technology, infection control, and patient communication will be key to maintaining our high standards of care. Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories, treatment plans, and medical coding Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient well-being throughout procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines Support front desk operations by functioning as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying insurance information Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment while adhering to infection prevention standards and OSHA regulations Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure in accordance with state requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is highly preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic EMR systems for managing medical documentation and records Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices accurately and safely Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and collaborate with the dental team Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Join us in delivering outstanding oral healthcare by combining your technical skills with compassionate patient service.
