Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Experienced Dental Assistant to join our brand-new dental office. This vital team member will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in dental assisting, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a passion for providing top-tier dental services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, patient-focused environment dedicated to fostering oral health and confidence. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Learn to design and mill crowns in-office Perform chairside assisting duties including vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and providing patient education on oral health. Ensure proper infection control protocols are followed consistently to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing medical coding for billing purposes. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients and understanding specific pediatric needs. Maintain supplies inventory, sterilize instruments, and uphold clinic cleanliness standards to ensure operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Skilled in taking X-rays (including 3D imaging) and performing medical imaging techniques accurately. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Familiarity with dental assisting certifications and licensing requirements in accordance with state laws. Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Experience working with diverse dental specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, or orthodontics is advantageous. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment using four-handed dentistry techniques. Join us in creating healthier smiles!
