Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic technique and infection control protocols Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontic work Take and develop dental X-rays and operate advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners Record accurate medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft Manage medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and managing patient flow efficiently Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for accurate record keeping Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Familiarity with infection control procedures and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
