The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform X-rays and other medical imaging as required, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Take vital signs and assist with medical documentation as needed. Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients and their families. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, particularly in general dentistry settings. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various dental procedures. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix. Experience with 3D scanners or other advanced dental technologies will be considered an asset.
