; Position Details Position Information Position Type Adjunct Faculty Track Clinical Position Title Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor, General/Restorative Dentistry, College of Dental Medicine Employment Status Part Time Months Campus Portland, ME Description The University of New England College of Dental Medicine invites applications for part-time adjunct clinical track positions in General/Restorative Dentistry at the Assistant Clinical Professor rank. The college is currently seeking applicants to work during the summer, fall, and spring semesters. The DMD program operates year-round, and qualified candidates must have availability to work across all three semesters (June-May). Located on UNE's Portland Campus for the Health Sciences, UNE CDM is the only dental school in a region where access to quality oral healthcare is a persistent challenge, especially in rural areas. Grounded in our mission to "improve the health of Northern New England as well as rural and underserved areas while shaping the future of dentistry through excellence in education, discovery, and service," our college continues to mature into one of the most innovative and exciting dental education programs available. Responsibilities The General/Restorative Dentistry faculty member will serve in the Department of Clinical Comprehensive Care or the Department of Restorative and Clinical Sciences. Core responsibilities will include clinical or simulation instruction in general/restorative dentistry and fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics during the summer, fall, and spring semesters (year round). Qualifications Qualified candidates must possess aD.D.S./D.M.D.
degree, or international equivalent and have successfully completed the NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE and a regional licensure examination (e.g. ADEX). By the position start date, the candidate must have active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full). A broad scope of clinical experience (and/or completion of additional training) in general/restorative dentistry (including fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics) is required.
