Job Overview Bilingual ( English and Spanish) Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and digital radiography systems. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to assist in comprehensive patient care. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and coding. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following strict infection control procedures and ensuring all dental tools are properly sterilized. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and applying aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures specific to dental settings. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging equipment confidently. Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry practices is preferred; experience working with children is a plus. Certification in radiography or X-ray technology is highly desirable; additional certifications in endodontics or prosthodontics are advantageous.
