The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting for general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory by ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Utilize EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for patient documentation and scheduling. Maintain accurate medical records, including medical documentation and coding as necessary. Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene and post-operative care. Assist with infection control protocols to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks when needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to perform medical imaging and understand medical terminology. Strong understanding of infection control practices within a dental clinic environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
