Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. In this role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities while adhering to safety and infection control standards. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring a clean environment in accordance with aseptic techniques. Take dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort throughout procedures. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients requiring medical history updates or medical coding. Maintain infection control standards by following proper sterilization procedures and handling dental supplies efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote overall oral health. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely. Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
