In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the clinical operations of our busy dental practice. Your expertise in chairside assisting, infection control, and dental procedures will ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience from start to finish. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values professionalism, continuous learning, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are upheld Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and dental terminology explanations Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing insurance claims with medical coding expertise Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Skilled in taking X-rays and utilizing medical imaging technology including 3D scanners when necessary Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures effectively Knowledge of dental specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics to support diverse treatment plans Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and educate patients about their oral health Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies like medical coding software or advanced imaging tools Join us as a Certified Dental Assistant where your expertise will directly impact our patients' smiles!
