Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Unique Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will be the coordinator of instrumentation and room setup, providing exceptional chairside assistance as needed and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise will support a wide range of dental procedures, from general dentistry to specialized fields like TMJ and Apnea treatment as well as actively participating in photobiomodulation (laser) therapy. You will play a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment, managing medical documentation, and utilizing advanced dental technology to deliver top-tier care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures, including restorations, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficiency and comfort for patients Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort Manage electronic health records using EMR systems Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Take vital signs and assess patient readiness by monitoring medical history and current health status before procedures with communication of details to the Doctor Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate clear communication within the team and with patients Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting for diverse treatments including elders and cooperative children Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Proficiency in using dental software systems like Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR platforms for managing medical documentation and records Experience operating dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable to support our young patients effectively Ability to interpret dental and medical terminology accurately for effective communication within the team Join us in delivering outstanding dental care!
