Advanced Endodontics is looking for a full-time endodontic dental assistant to join our team to help provide top-notch dental care that makes our patients feel like family. The dental assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials and is patient centric and x-ray certified with endodontic experience (preferred). DENTAL ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES
  • Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
  • Convey information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Equip instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for endodontist's access.
  • Render materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments.
  • Deliver diagnostic information by exposing digital radiographic images.
  • Help endodontist to manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency contacts.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient notes and final reports to endodontist.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Create a safe, clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain dental supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops through professional societies, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years dental assisting experience (required).
  • Xray (proficient in periapical), & CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of endodontic software (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Team player and self
  • starter with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels and build cross-functional relationships.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA rules, regulations, and compliance.
