Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with established protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take digital X-rays. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and medical records management. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for efficient patient management. Requirements Previous experience is a MUST. Proficiency in using EMR systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic) is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Familiarity with various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Ability to perform dental imaging and utilize 3D scanners effectively. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
