In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety with proper aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical documentation when necessary, especially for pediatric or medically compromised patients. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to promote ongoing dental wellness. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology and medical coding practices. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with dental reception staff and educate patients clearly about procedures and oral health maintenance.
