Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments while ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment for our patients. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and infection control will help us maintain the highest standards of dental health services. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining accurate medical documentation. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Epic, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote optimal health outcomes. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and acting as a dental receptionist to create a welcoming atmosphere. Support the dental team with vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment conducive to four-handed dentistry. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray processing, infection control, and aseptic technique. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with specialized treatments in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other dental specialties. Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or medical documentation are advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
