Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Administrative Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your expertise in medical and dental administrative support, combined with strong knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and insurance processes, will be essential in managing daily clinic operations efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while honing your administrative skills in a fast-paced dental environment. Duties Assist with intake procedures, including gathering medical history, updating care plans, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Support front desk operations by managing patient flow, handling inquiries via phone or in person, and performing clerical tasks such as typing reports and filing documents Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation review and proper coding for procedures performed in the dental clinic Greet all patients and visitors with a warm and friendly smile, both on the phone and in the office. Check in all patients by entering their information into the computer system.

Verifying that all information, such as address and insurance is correct and Updating as needed. Each day, follow the same processes for opening and closing the clinic. Collect patient fees. Schedule patient appointments by procedures, ensuring effective provider time and appropriate patient care. Maintain excellent communication with the Clinical Team as needed to ensure proper patient care as well as proper scheduling time.. Help assist with End of Day balances and ensure daily bank deposits are prepared and made, at the end of the day. Respond to incoming messages, emails and faxes in a timely manner.. Prepare outgoing mail. Maintain a clean and organized reception area as well as the waiting room. Participate in Team Meetings as well as any recommended training. Willingness to work together in a Team Environment. Skills High School Diploma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruption Outstanding oral communication abilities Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred to navigate dental terminology and office workflows seamlessly Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to create a positive patient experience Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join our team as a Dental Administrative Assistant if you're passionate about providing outstanding patient service while supporting efficient clinic operations.
