Licensed Dental Assistant

Looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, able to do FMX and intake patients, as well as do chair side assisting for all procedures including orthodontic wire o-ties, photography, digital scanning, extractions, endodontics, restorative and more. Hourly wage is highly competitive and negotiable based on experience.

Duties:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures (Dentist uses Dryshield for most all procedures to help with retraction and suction; Dental Dam for endodontics)
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
• Take digital dental radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral and extra-oral photographs
• Help polish and floss and apply varnishes
• Sterilize instruments and equipment
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as scanning teeth, digital printing, cutting trays
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Overjet used for note taking

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
• Open Dental experience is a plus
• Experience with portable NOMAD radiographs with digital Dexis sensor, CBCT, CEPH
• Familiarity with adult dental procedures, surgery, composites, orthodontics, 3D scanning is a plus, otherwise willingness to learn

Skills:

• Ability to take radiographs (FMX, pano, cbct), digital scanning (Medit) and record patient information

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
• Current Active Minnesota Licensing in
