Key Duties & Responsibilities To give you a clear idea of the role, we have broken down the daily duties into clinical, administrative, and maintenance categories: 1.
Clinical & Chairside Assisting Four-Handed Dentistry:
Efficiently assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (e.g., fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions). Anticipate the dentist's needs seamlessly.
Patient Care & Comfort:
Greet and seat patients, prepare them for treatment, review dental/medical history, and provide compassionate support to ease dental anxiety.
Radiography:
Take high-quality digital X-rays and panoramic images according to state regulations and safety protocols.
Laboratory Duties:
Pack and Send the cases to Dental Lab. Use Scanners for scanning for crowns and night guards, make temporary crowns 2.
Infection Control & Maintenance Sterilization:
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment strictly following OSHA, CDC, and office guidelines.
Operatory Prep:
Prepare, breakdown, and thoroughly sanitize treatment rooms between patients to maintain a pristine clinical environment.
Inventory Control:
Monitor, restock, and organize clinical supplies in treatment rooms and the lab. Alert the office manager when inventory is low. 3.
Administrative Support Patient Records:
Accurately document treatment notes, dental charts, and post-operative instructions in our practice management software.
Patient Education:
Clearly explain pre-operative and post-operative care instructions to patients and answer basic treatment questions.
Front Office Backup:
Occasionally assist the front desk team with answering phones, scheduling follow-up appointments, or checking patients in during peak times. What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
License/Certification:
Active Dental Assistant License or Registration as required by the state of
MN X-Ray Certification:
Current radiation health and safety certification.
CPR Certification:
Active BLS/CPR certification.
Experience:
[2] years of experience is preferred, but we are open to training the right newly graduated assistant!
Tech Skills:
Proficiency with dental software . We use
