Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed Take X-rays, ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, digital imaging systems, and medical documentation tools Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental software - maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with medical imaging and documentation for comprehensive medical records management Collaborate seamlessly in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency Communicate effectively using dental terminology to explain procedures and post-treatment care to patients Support front desk duties as needed, including dental receptionist tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient check-in/out Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification Proven experience in general dentistry - new grads are encouraged to apply! Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Skilled in taking X-rays with proper safety protocols; familiarity with medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in a fast-paced environment involving four-handed dentistry techniques Experience with dental coding and documentation for insurance or billing purposes is advantageous Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' oral health while advancing your career in a supportive, innovative environment!

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
