Orthodontic Clinical Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to add to our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting orthodontists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic at our Bay St. Louis, MS and D'Iberville, MS locations . The candidate should have at least one year of experience plus strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, taking impressions, and adjusting appliances. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal dental health. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using Dolphin Orthodontic software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Experience Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology and infection control practices is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are necessary for success in this role.
